What is virgin hair?
Virgin hair is human hair in its natural state—no chemical processing, no coloring, and cuticles remain intact. All hair sold by Her Hair Company is virgin hair.
How can I measure the length of my bundles?
Measure from the weft (start at 0) to the ends. For wavy/curly textures, gently pull the hair straight and measure from the weft to the tips. Bundles may not measure exactly while still wrapped due to tension.
Can the hair be straightened or curled?
Yes. Virgin hair can be styled with heat tools (straighten, curl, crimp, etc.) like your natural hair. To reduce dryness and breakage, use a heat protectant, keep hair moisturized, and protect it while sleeping.
Can I color my bundles?
We recommend that any chemical services (coloring, lifting, bleaching) be performed or supervised by a licensed professional. Chemical processing can damage the cuticle and may cause dryness, shedding, breakage, tangling, or matting.
Once hair is altered, we are not responsible for performance changes caused by chemical services.
Does this hair shed?
Minimal shedding is normal for human hair. Our reinforced machine wefts are designed to minimize shedding. For best results, consider sealing your wefts to further reduce shedding.
How do I seal my wefts?
Our weft sealer is available here. The product page includes a “How To” video.
How long does this hair last?
With proper care, our extensions can last through multiple installs. Many customers enjoy 6–8 months of wear on average.

What does co-wash mean?
Co-washing means washing with conditioner. It helps maintain moisture and can extend the life of your extensions. We recommend co-washing weekly with a moisturizing conditioner and using warm (not hot) water.
How should I care for my hair?
Hair may respond differently depending on texture and products. Avoid ingredients that can strip moisture (e.g., harsh sulfates) and focus on hydration. As a general routine: co-wash weekly, shampoo bi-weekly to remove buildup, and deep condition as needed.
What products do you recommend?
Because everyone’s routine is different, results can vary. Many customers like brands such as Crème of Nature, Carol’s Daughter, Cantu, and As I Am. Your hair may respond differently, so start with moisture-focused products and adjust as needed.

How many bundles should I order?
Bundle quantity depends on your desired length and fullness. All bundles have the same weight (3.3 oz), but longer lengths have shorter wefts.
- Standard sew-in: 3–4 bundles
- 18” and longer: 4–5 bundles for a fuller look
- With extra volume: 4–5 bundles or 4 bundles + a closure
A closure is a great option if you want a protective style with no leave-out.
